here i am again, asking for help! ya, u get it rite! i'm not good in choosing gifts esp for my loved ones. alwiz wanna the best for them til i run outta ideas. as all of u hv known, it's mother's day soon. >_< but i still havent get any gift for mum. over the yrs, i've given almost any gifts tht i can think of and which are handy. she'll alwiz nags wheneva i get her anything at all. according to her, i'm wasting money on worthless stuff but deep in her heart, i knoe tht she is touched. it's juz tht she dun wanna me to spend money on unnecessary stuff. for her, if the thing still can be used, why must we waste money to buy a new one? hence the constant nagging wheneva i bring back anything new for her. i luv buying things for my loved ones (frens included) as a token of appreciation in return for a smile on their face. juz luv the joy on their face when unwrapping their gifts! =>
but tht cant b said for my dad's case though. it's not tht me dun wanna get gifts for him. it's juz tht he alwiz complains tht the tops i buy for him aint meant for his age grp or the wallet tht i plan to buy for him is way too trendy or the perfume i intend to buy smells too young or the sneakers i wanna get him is meant for youngsters or the tie i choose is way too cute. dad has been complaining tht i forget his age and my taste is way too young for an old man like him. guess, i'll juz accumulate the gifts i owe him and get him air tix for a vacation after i join the working force. lol.. guess he'll be complaining tht mum gets double std as i'll be buying air tix for mum too :P he's alwiz jealous of mum~ what to do, huh? i luv my mii more coz she luvs me juz the same! =D
oops, i digress too much. anyway, the list of gifts tht i hv given my mum over the yrs since young are as follows:
- hand made cards with lil gifts (sudden urge to be creative and i was young at tht time. didnt hv enuff money to buy anything expensive)
- handbags (mum didnt hv the habit of buying new handbags though hers were old coz for her as long as the handbag served its purpose, it's unreplaceable)
- purses (like handbags, purses didnt hv to be new)
- heels (didnt knoe mum's taste so tricked mum into trying out some heels while waiting for me to get mine. she looked really satisfied with the heels tht she tried so i ended up asking the shop assistant to wrap it up and foot the bill. mum was so shocked and insisted tht she didnt need tht pair of heels. in the end, she gave in after the SA told her how lucky she was to hv a daughter like me :P haha...she's smiling so happily when we got outta the store)
- earrings (mum's vain but she alwiz thinks wasting money on accessories is not a good idea esp all her kids still need money for education)
- tops (suddenly mum turns into a sexy laydee and the stores in malacca dun sell sexy tops for laydees of her age grp. shopping malls in s'gor/kl cater to her needs)
actually i wanna buy a necklace frm simmy for her but past experiences show tht she'll eventually pass the necklace back to me as she'll complain tht she doesnt hv a nice neck to wear such beautiful necklace. bracelet is outta the Q coz she alwiz tells me how she envies me for having such smooth and fair hands to flaunt it. having a small wrist isnt enuff for her. plez suggest other stuff than these. since time is running out, if i really cant get the gift by this sat, guess i'll juz handmake her a voucher which she can be use wheneva she wants to buy wateva she wants at a later date :P this is the last resort, i guess~Labels: lil chatty chat, my family my love
