being efficient at work isn't always the right answer. the boss will love you to the max as your efficiency definitely has added value to your company. your excellent work performance has saved lots of time and thus more work can be done within a short span of time. learning curve at work can be shortened as you have mastered the tasks given to you much faster than the estimated time. your boss is really happy that he has made the right choice of employing you.
let's not get so carried away yet! the boss may be really excited bout having you in the company but what bout your seniors? do they really welcome you to the family? i guess not! they see you as an aggressive competitor who is bout to threaten their position at work. since they can't do much bout it, they try to sabotage you behind your back. the worst part is you don't even realise it until any senior is kind enough to warn you as they s/he thinks that it's not your fault if you are a fast learner and subsequently earn the boss' trust.
so sad but true. it happens even in a small organisation. the newcomer isn't really going to fit in after all. since it's a talk-behind-your-back situation, you can't defend yourself. thus the best thing to do is to pretend that you still don't know anything. being late to work is not a big crime as long as you stay after your stipulated working hours to complete your work but that doesn't apply when your seniors are jealous of you. it's being used as the reason to put you down in front of the boss and his partners.
since the day my senior warn me bout it when we are in car after visiting LHDN, i've changed my daily routine. instead of washing my hair while bathing in the morning every day, i wash my hair every evening after work. at least it does save my time a little. having to stay in usj isn't really a good idea after all as every morning i have to face 3 massive traffic jam before i reach my workplace. mii says we can only shift after karen has completed her high school at the end of the year. for the moment, i have to sleep latest by 12am so that i can wake up at 6.30am the next day. totally so unlikely me but it's the best solution for the moment if i don't want to be late at work.
oh ya, have you notice that it's always the female colleagues who will be jealous of you no matter what is the situation? they will always try to find fault with you. male colleagues are much better as they will think of everyone's best interest. lol..i only have 1 male colleague. i wish i have more male colleagues as they will tell you straight in the face if you have not been performing up to the standard instead of the talking behind your back.Labels: life is bout working too, lil chatty chat
