lol..found these pics in my archive. ok, the wedding actually took place on 21 oct 2006. yeah, i procrastinated lots.
anyway, the bridegroom is my mum's cuzzie's son. in other words, he' my relative but we are not really close. lol... the fun part of these kind of relative gatherings are you get to meet your relatives especially those grown ups who sometimes you have no idea how to address them. the best solution is to call the ladies as aunties and the men as uncles til they correct me. muahaha... i have done that lots of times and it works. or else, the last resort will be to turn to mii for help!
the morning before the wedding dinner was kind of noisy and busy. everyone was busy chit chatting and preparing for the big night in the house while the guys went over to pick the bride. lol..heard that one of the guys were pushed by the brides' ji muis and being locked in the closet. poor thing~ as usual, red was associated with the big day! even the table number cards had to be in red or pink.
we eats lots before the wedding dinner. the wait wasn't that long as we were too busy running errands.
the night finally came, my mii's relatives were still busy chatting. lol, it's like they had been chatting for really long time. mii said that they had not been meeting each other for a very long time. i guessed so because everyone was still mentioning bout they still remember me when i was a baby. they said that i was a cute baby back then and sleep lots. erm, i guess i had adopted the sleeping beauty habit since young. but now i woke up few times throughout my sleeping period due to stress.
finally it's time for the grand entrance of the newly weds. we were assigned to pop the confetti and obviously with my height plus heels of course i didn't have to worry much bout the confetti wouldn't reach a certain height or hurt anyone's eyes. i'm not not tall but tall enough to feel tall with the help of heels. :P
the cake cutting session was prolonged because everyone was too busy taking pics. lol... the newly weds were requested to pose longer on stage.
the night wouldn't be complete without the toast from the couples everyone to the couple, giving them the blessings. this would the time when people test how long they could hold their breath while saying yum seng.
