evelyn's home for good
oh well, after having to undergo a total of two surgeries, evelyn is finally back home for good. thanks for all your concern. though i have to admit that i take some time to reply to your sms. that's because though it's offpeak period for audit line but somehow i don't feel it in my office because of backlog cases. gosh, i need a break! ok, i'm just thinking of having a break but i can't as i still have assignments to do. please forgive me if i fall asleep while chatting on the phone. i'm seriously tired.
anyway, i had taken a few pictures of evelyn because she underwent her first surgery. her bone was removed and replaced with an artificial hip. basically the bone from her hip to her knee had been replaced by artificial hip which was made of steel. it's stainless steel so it would not rust. some of you might think it's really funny of me to actually say that but that's one of the questions being asked.
evelyn was stronger than i thought because she could still smile a day before her first major surgery. she was so calm. she felt more relieved after her doctor explained to her bout her health condition and how the surgery was going to be conducted. there were four doctors handling her case and her main doctor was dr vivek. a day before her major surgery, a tube was inserted on her hand, conncted to her vein where it functioned as an intermediary for medicine to flow into evelyn's body.
her surgery was 6hours and waiting outside in the waiting hall was such an agony because so much tension there. families were there, waiting for the outcome of the surgeries that their close ones were undergoing. mii was waiting alone there at first before both dad and i reached. luckily, evelyn's friend came and chatted with mii.
it's no surprise that mii made new friends there again. i had always wondered how she did that as i couldn't never make new friends with such an ease. gosh, she's my mum but i don't own that trait of hers. with that friendly smile and nosiness, she made new friends and learn more bout many illness. she's really proud of herself as she knew many medical conditions now.
i guess evelyn benefited from that too as she has made new friend and found few of them who had similiar conditions as her. they chatted with her nad gave her encouragements. my mii had been introducing me to her new friends too when they visited evelyn. it's kind of scary at first especially people could recognise me while i was walking but after a while, i got used to it. who asked my mii to be so friendly, right? surprisingly evelyn talked more than usual. i think she's been influenced by mii as they stay close to each other during evelyn's hopitalisation. it has been a long time since i had seen her in the house. oh well, i still called her on the phone to chat. lol... gosh, i couldn't possibly live without chatting with her.
evelyn's second surgery was to shorten her steel as it was longer by 2cm. normally it should be 1cm or less. her right leg was longer than left after the first surgery. her second surgery was to rectify that flaw. now she's back in home again. home sweet home. she's both safe and sound with extra new friends.
